Melt proof makeup is especially important to me this year! My daughter is getting married in an outdoor ceremony in late August. This means that as the mother-of-the bride, I need to find strategies for making my makeup last through the heat, humidity, and stress of that day. Thankfully, I have found some secret weapons that I keep in my arsenol for the big event. In this week's blog, I share with you exactly what they are, how they work, and where to get them

Foundation Primer

Let's start our melt proof makeup routine with Foundation Primer. The advantages are many, and once you begin using it, you may decide to use it every day!

Foundation primer provides a smooth canvas for you to apply your makeup on. It will reduce the appearance of the size of your pores and create a flattering illuminating effect when light is reflected from your face. This often times gives you a youthful, radiant glow! And foundation primer gives your foundation something to cling to so it lasts all day. Sounds like a miracle product, doesn't it?

Translucent Loose Powder

Next on our melt proof makeup journey is setting powder. In the video, I use mineral powder foundation to set my liquid foundation, but other options are translucent loose powder or traditional loose powder. Like its name implies, translucent is colorless, whereas other loose powders will match your skin tone.

Whichever product you decide to use, you should notice that your foundation stays in place and excess shine is removed from your face.

Makeup Finishing Spray

Moving on, let's chat about makeup finishing spray. One that is very popular is All Nighter from Urban Decay. Finishing Spray is usually the final step in your makeup routine. It is lightly sprayed all over your face and provides a barrier so your makeup looks like it was just applied throughout the day.

Eye Primer
